It is a low-weight, high-efficiency system that includes power converters, DC switchboards, Li-Ion batteries, electric generators, motors, a shore charger, and an automation system.
Optimum efficiency
The system is designed to have the least amount of conversions from stored energy to actual use, ensuring optimum efficiency. By standardizing modules used in the system, life cycle management is kept simple, and the same power converter type is used for propulsion, bow thruster, range extender generator, and grid converter.
